Rat Adoption Procedure

Animals are a huge commitment. To ensure the safety and care of our beloved rats, we ask all adopters to complete a short adoption application that must be submitted prior to choosing your new pet(s). Our Adoption Application can be found linked above or by clicking here. Applications are kept on file for 6 months. Previous adopters will have to fill out a new adoption application if it is past 6 months since adopting, or if they have any changes in their answers.

Liability Waiver

We take the health and safety of our rats very seriously.  We offer a 72 hour health guarantee as the majority of zoonotic diseases that can express, if exposed while in our possession, will become present within that timeframe. New home sneezes are completely normal and can sometimes last up to a few weeks. We do recommend a quarantine period of no less then three weeks before introducing your new rat(s) to your current mischief. We do require a liability waiver be signed upon pick up and inspection of our rodents.

A copy of the agreement can be found linked above or by clicking here

Availibility

Once babies pass temperament testing they will be listed in our Adoption Shop. Rats may become available for reservation at 5 weeks of age, however, they will not be rehomed until a minimum of 7 weeks. NO EXCEPTIONS!

Payment

Payment is required at time of checkout when visiting our Adoption Shop. Prices shown are only HALF of the total adoption fee and is considered a deposit to hold your rats. DEPOSITS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE UNLESS BREEDER CANCELS SALE. Remaining balance of adoption fee is required upon pickup before rats are released into adopters care.
